Developing and Evaluating Teaching Portfolios Web Conference
Thank you to all those who attended the web conference this morning on Developing and Evaluating Teaching Portfolios! Dr. Amy Goodburn from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln gave us a great summary of some key aspects and concerns regarding teaching portfolios. She went over the variety of purposes of teaching portfolios, the history of their use, a few “real world” examples, and finally, methods of their assessment and evaluation. Another key concern centered around how post-secondary institutions are supporting the creation and development of teaching portfolios and whether or not they are valued as an integral part of the teaching process.
